

Lula Jean Carr, the daughter of Mandy Caston Wallace & Wilson Wallace was born on December 7, 1935 in Palestine Texas. She is preceded in heaven by her late husband: William A. Carr and her parents: Wilson Wallace, & Mandy Caston Wallace. She received her education in Palestine and attended Lincoln School. She lived in Palestine until she moved to Houston, Texas. She met and married William Augustus Carr in 1953 until his departure to heaven on December 20, 1975. Lula Carr was a homemaker, entrepreneur and a devoted mother. Lula dedicated her life to Christ at an early age. She was a current member of The Worship Center under the leadership of Pastor Rusty Greer where she faithfully served in ministry as a greeter, helper, and encourager. She served until her health declined. She served her generation well. Throughout the years she was a pillar for a number of churches and an intricate part of Reaching Outreach Ministries. She was a Proverbs 31 woman, in every aspect. All who knew her was impacted by her love, genuine and caring spirit. She was a woman who exemplified compassion & hospitality. Anyone who entered her doors felt her love. Her hobbies were, reading her Bible, encouraging others, fishing, and spending time with her family & friends. All who knew her were blessed tremendously by her presence. On April 12, 2016, Lula J. Carr left her earthly tent and transcended to her heavenly home to join our Heavenly Father. She leaves to cherish her memory, five beautiful children: Barbara (Lillian) Johnson, Patricia (Carr) Pittman, Debora (Carr) Chalk, Jacquelyn E. Carr and William A. Carr. Her beloved daughter in law: Celeste Carr & Son In Law: LT. Pittman. Her grandchildren Tennille Holliday, Rodrick Johnson, Ramona Carr, Tiffany Carr, William Turner, Caleb Chalk, Landon Pittman, Joshua Chalk, Amber Carr and Ayshia Carr. Her great-grandchildren, Travaus, Rachel, Gabrielle, William Jr. and Alana. One uncle: L.B. Caston, Her special friends, Mrs. Lola Miller and Mrs. Gladys Perry, and her loving caregiver & cousin Jacqueline Barrett. She also leaves, a host of cousins, relatives & friends.
