Maria Esther Nolasco, a beloved and cherished member of her community, passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on December 20, 1950, Maria was a devoted and faithful individual who touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity. She resided in Spring, Texas, where she was known for her wisdom, humor, and inspirational spirit.
Raised in Guatemala, Maria learned the values of hard work and faith early in life. She carried herself with grace, strength, and compassion, gaining wisdom through her life experiences. Though she did not work in a traditional setting, Maria became affectionately known as “The Candy Lady” by selling candy from her apartment to the neighborhood. Her kindness, laughter, and welcoming spirit made her a beloved figure in the community.
Maria was blessed with four sons from her first marriage and four daughters through her marriage with Juan Nolasco. Despite enduring the loss of her husband and youngest daughter, her faith remained strong. Family was the center of her world, and she carried deep love for each of her children.
Maria found joy in caring for her home and family, enjoying simple pleasures such as listening to music, sharing meals and stories, visiting family and friends, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was deeply devoted to her faith and active in every part of her church community, giving her time and heart fully.
Maria will be remembered for her gentle heart, strong faith, and unwavering devotion to her family and church. Her laughter, generosity, and warm presence made everyone around her feel loved and welcomed. Her legacy is one of love, faith, and quiet strength, which will forever be in her children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all who shared their love, prayers, and support during this time. A special thank you to pastors, church members, and friends who offered their time, compassion, and faith. The family also wishes to express sincere appreciation to the hospital staff at Memorial Hermann for their care and compassion during her final days.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, on November 7, 2025, at 10:00 am. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm, with the committal service from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm at the same location.
Maria lived her life with grace, strength, and faith that never wavered. Her memory will be deeply missed and forever remembered. We take comfort in God’s promise: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” - 2 Timothy 4:7.
