

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Burch; step-son, Nathan Burch; brother, Glenn Vance, of Austin, TX; and a plethora of great friends who joined her in a life well lived. Marion was predeceased by her father, James C. Vance, and mother, Barbara J. Vance, of San Antonio, TX.
Marion was born in San Antonio on Father's Day, June 17, 1962, and graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a business degree in 1991. After working in sales, she began a career in mall management and was the Assistant General Manager of Memorial City Mall for the past 12 years.
Marion launched a personal mission to raise awareness and funds for ovarian cancer research, including: coordinating “Paint the Town Teal” events at Memorial City Mall; appearing on television several times to discuss the disease; and being a top ten national fundraiser for “Oprah’s Live Your Best Life” walk/run and speaking onstage with Oprah before more than 10,000 people in New York City in 2010.
