Mary M. Aguirre, age 98, was called to be with the Lord on June 25, 2016. Her husband, David, greeted her at the Gates of Heaven. Mary volunteered as a Red Cross nurse at Holy Name Catholic School for many years. She enjoyed hosting many formal events for the Ladies Auxiliary of the Pan American Golf Association where she loved dancing with her husband. “Momo,” as she was affectionately known, loved to travel as well as visit with her grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.
Momo is survived by her children Pearl Mejia, Irma Grimes, David Aguirre Jr. (Dina) and Richard Castillo (Tina- wife), grandchildren Renee Mitchell (Jamie), David Aguirre III (Melinda), Lawrence Mejia (Matala), Stephanie Castle (Chris), Kriselda Berlanga (Kevin) and Ashlynn Castillo, numerous great and great-great grandchildren as well as several loving nieces and nephews. Momo also leaves behind countless friends who loved her dearly and thought of her as one of the most beautiful persons they have met. She was a very grateful and giving person, which carried on into the last days of her life. Even then, Momo would ask so often “Can I get you anything” or “what can I do for you”.
We will truly miss her voice saying “God Bless You” and at the ending the night with “See you in the morning, God willing”. Well Momo, it is God’s will that you be with Him from now on.
We love you.
