Mary Elizabeth Baumann

Mary Elizabeth Baumann, 77, of Pearland TX departed peacefully Jan. 7, 2014 surrounded by her loving family and friends. Mary was born on Feb. 27, 1936 in Kansas City, KS. She is preceded in death by her parents Emil and Maude Zuzich and her brother Thomas Zuzich. She attended nursing school at St. Mary's College in Leavenworth, KS.

She met Louis J. Baumann at a Knights of Columbus dance in Houston and have been happily married for 53 wonderful years. They have been blessed with six beautiful children and 13 adoring grandchildren. Daughter Emily and David Mikeska (children: Laura, Bryan and Andy) of Frisco, TX, sons; Vincent Baumann (children: Bradley and Mark) of Rowlett, TX, Scott and Dawne Baumann (children: Cory, Grace and John Paul) of Pearland, TX, Louis and Lisa Baumann II (children: Todd and Tyler) of Houston, TX, Matthew and Denise Baumann (children: Ashley and Connor) of Pearland TX, and Carl and Kimber Baumann (child: Trey) of Pearland, TX.

Mary worked at Baumann Propeller along side her husband and sons for 43 years. She was the heart and soul of the company, making sure everything and everyone was taken care of. She never missed a recital, baseball game, football game or school event. Even after battling a lengthy illness, Mary never complained and always made sure her family was well and never was left wanting. She put her family and friends first above herself. It was her loving husband that cared for her in her hours of need.

Mary strongly believed in God, his Son and the Guardian Angels. She always prayed for her children's safe return wherever they were going. We are truly bless that she is watching over us now and in our hours of need.

Visitation is Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014 from 5-8 pm with rosary at 7 pm at Forest Park Funeral Home: 6900 Lawndale.

Funeral Friday Jan. 10, 2014 at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church 10 am. 6723 White Friars Houston.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
