Mary Louise Rodriguez

Mary worked as a Clerk and then Secretary at Sanchez Elementary. She was also actively involved in the church choir. Mary enjoyed singing solos in church choirs. She was friendly and always strived to help people. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and other family members.

She is preceded in death by their father Rufus Garcia, mother Gloria Garcia, brother Rufus Garcia, Jr., and sister Delphine Garcia Maroulis.

Mary is survived by her husband Benjamin G. Rodriguez and children Benjamin G. Rodriguez, Jr., Deanna Mena, Sara Chagoya, and Daniel Rodriguez. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren Robert E. Mena, Matthew A. Mena, Desiree Chagoya, Jesus Chagoya, Bailey Rodriguez, Benjamin G. Rodriguez III, and Nathaniel Rodriguez. Lastly, she is survived by three great grandchildren Annika Mena, Riley Mena and Marina Rae Garcia.

A visitation for Mary will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A rosary service will occur Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7250 Harrisburg Blvd, Houston, TX 77011. A committal service will occur Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023.
