Mary LaVeeda Self Wingate,93, born April 22, 1921 in Lovelady, Texas, went to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 14, 2014, in San Leon, Texas. Mary was a resident of Houston, Texas for many years and a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. Mary has resided in San Leon for the past 45 years. She is preceded in death by husband Edgar H. Wingate, son Harvey L. Wingate, and grandson Edgar L. Wingate. Mary is survived by her daughter LaVeeda Mullis Barhan, son-in-law Nels A. Barhan, daughter-in-law Gloria Wingate, sister-in-law Olga Mae Fritzsching, and Christina Wingate Morgan; grandchildren Leslie W. Wingate, Charles E. Wingate, Heather M. Mullis, Ryan M. Mullis, Jason M. Mullis and Adam K. Barhan; great-grandchildren Harvey W. Wingate, Laura Wingate Manis, Cassie Wingate Dienst, Austin Travis Wingate, Charles E. Wingate Jr., Kalli Donohoo, James Donohoo, Leyton Donohoo, Kloe Donohoo, Richard and Kayla Mullis; great-great grandchildren Harvey Liam Wingate, Olivia Dienst, Easton and Everett Manis; and many nieces and nephews.
