Michael received his early education from the Houston School system, graduating from Evan E. Worthing High School. He also attended Texas Southern University for two years. Mike was born into a family where Christ was always put first and was baptized at an early age. Michael was blessed to have two beautiful daughters, Erika Maddison (Cecil), Monet Evans and one handsome son Evan Pipkins (Kathy). Michael was also blessed with seven grandchildren whom he loved dearly and had special relationships with each. He was their "Papa". Every summer he enjoyed taking his grandchildren on different excursions. The grandchildren also loved riding "Papa's" horses (Cowboy & CJ). Michael obtained a position working at Hughes Tool Co. in Texas. He relocated to California where he sold Primerica Insurance and was also employed by Northrop Grumman. After realizing he had a passion to become an entrepreneur, he started his own Tax Service/Financial Advising business. He became an icon in the City of Inglewood, CA, where his business was located and where he serviced 3000+ clients. He was very instrumental in guiding others with his knowledge and advice. He had a wealth of information and did not hesitate to share it with others. Michael, you will be truly missed! Michael had such a kind and gentle spirit and a compassionate heart for people. He always had a positive demeanor. He portrayed confidence in what he knew and stood firmly on what he believed. Mike was charismatic, dressed well, smelled good and loved his cowboy boots. Mike was a true cowboy at heart. If you have ever spoken to him on the phone, you know he never ended the conversation saying "bye". When asked why, he replied "it is not goodbye, because I will see you again". When Michael made his transition from this life, he didn't say "goodbye", because he knows that he will see us again.
