Millie was born in Houston, Texas on February 16, 1928 to the late Harold M. Hobbs and Clara Feuhs Hobbs. She graduated from Jeff Davis High School in 1948 and then worked her way through college. Millie graduated from the University of Houston in 1952 with a Degree in Art. She loved fashion design and she worked for JC Penney’s and Sears in the late 40’s designing their window displays for women’s clothing. Many years later after raising two children, she, by chance, became an Adult Probation Officer for Harris County and retired in 1990.
Millie is survived by children: Lynda Dean (Al) and Leland Havemann (Valerie); her grandchildren, Phillip Williamson (Holly), Ryan Williamson, Clark Dean (Katherine), Kasey and Haley and 8 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 23rd at 10:00 am at Earthman Resthaven – 13102 North Frwy., Houston, Tx. Burial will follow at Earthman Resthaven at the same location.
The family would like to extend an extra special Thank You to Millie’s caregivers, Stacy and Sabrina, for the loving care they gave to her over the past 9 years.
