Mildred was born in Orchard, Texas, the only daughter of seven children, to Alex and Emma Demny. After graduating from Orchard High School, she immediately moved to Houston and began her first job with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Shortly thereafter she met, Theodore “Ted” Krolczyk, they were married and she began her life, raising her family.
Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, Ted of 39 years, her parents, Alex and Emma Demny and her brothers Florian, Roy, John, Eugene and Robert Demny. Mildred is survived by her four daughters: Deborah Pruitt, Doris Krebs and husband Fred, Cynthia Krolczyk and husband Will, Sandra Blankenship and husband Kelley, five grandchildren, two honorary grandchildren, four great grandchildren, five honorary great grandchildren, her brother Donald Demny, her sister-in-laws: Fran Roberson, JoAnn Demny, Helen Demny, Gloria Demny, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express our sincere thank you for the wonderful care and support provided by the staff at Kevin’s Senior Living, Spring location and all the nurses from Highland Hospice. Our loving thanks is also given to her neighbors and all the friends who shared their hearts and homes with Mildred over the years. Mildred was active in the American Legion and VFW Auxiliary and was often found playing bingo, cards and dominos in their reception hall several days each week. Mildred also faithfully volunteered to help the Harvest Group at the Assumption Catholic Church.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on June 6, 2022 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77060 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, with the rosary beginning at 6:00pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on June 7, 2022 at Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Roselane St., Houston, TX 77037 beginning at 10am. Graveside burial will follow immediately at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77060.
