Millie S. Brady

Millie S. Brady was born to the proud parents, Edwin Smith and Pearl Wesley Smith. This blessed event took place on November 5, 1923. She departed February 26, 2016. Millie grew up in Christian Home with lots of love. At an early age, she received Christ as her Lord and Savior. Ms. Brady received her education from the Houston Independent School District, attending Burrus Elementary and Booker T. Washington High School. She attended and graduated from Franklin Beauty school in 1957. She serviced the Acres Homes Community until her retirement in the early 1900's. At at a special time in her life, she met and married Mr. Vernon E. Brady. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Baptist Church and after 92 years, she went home to be with the Lord. Ms. Brady is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, six brothers, four sisters, one grandson and one granddaughter. Millie leaves to celebrate her new life in Heaven and to cherish her earthly memories one daughter, Dorsie Calloway (affectionately known as Jean); one sister, Vera Johnson; four grandchildren, Culberson Campbell, Charles Campbell, Bruce Campbell and Tracey Williams; twelve great-grandchildren; nineteen great great-grandchildren; three great great great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
