I came to Houston in 1984 to play soccer and met Milton soon after. He carried the game of soccer through the toughest time in a city that had little soccer history and few people that could say soccer was the game that their family grew up on. Milton shared his talents and stories to grow South Texas. Visits to the Aimi house with Milton and Wanda were great! Thank you Milton!

Milton was a giant of football.  He was an inspiration for those of us who played against teams he coached, who played in leagues he built and nurtured, and who learned from him during the work for the state and national soccer associations he helped build and grow.  He will be truly missed, but his gifted hand will remain with us forever to guide us in our endeavors.  I am proud to be one of his successors as President of Texas-South, but nowhere near the bright light that he created.

Milton Aimi was one of the giants of football. Milton Aimi was my first soccer coach at Westbury soccer club.  It was 1972 and I was 6 years old.  He did not pick his team based on the current level of play but rather on talent he could mold.  That team wound up producing some great players, many of whom still play in their late 40's.  Thank you Mr. Aimi for believing in us and instilling a passion for the game.  He touched so many people over the years and you can still see his influence on Houston soccer and on the players he coached by going to any of the over 30 or over 40 leagues today.
