She was born in Houston, Texas on November 13, 1977. Mollie graduated from Trinity Valley School in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1996 and received a B.S. in East Asian Studies and Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University in 2000. She also studied at Peking University in Beijing, China, Fudan University in Shanghai, China, and Murdoch University in Perth, Australia.
She was married to Robert L. Myers on April 2, 2005. They had two children, twins, Rob and Mia Myers, who were born on January 16, 2011.
Mollie had a career in public health projects and pharmaceuticals, working for Eli Lilly, before pursuing a full time focus on charitable efforts and raising her beloved children.
She was deeply involved in a number of charities throughout her life, including the New York Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, the American Cancer Society, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and RxArt. She had a passion for her extended family, travel, food, reading, flying, sailing and photography. She lived in many countries throughout her life, including the United States, Australia, China, and the United Kingdom. She was also an Anglophile who loved English culture.
She is survived by: her husband, Robert L. Myers, III; her nine-year old, twin children, Robert L. (Rob) Myers, IV and Mary V. (Mia) Myers; her parents, Mary R. Maxwell and Robert E. Maxwell, Jr.; her brothers and sisters-in law, Lance and Luci Maxwell, and Robert and Sherry Maxwell; her parents-in-law; Robert and Virginia Myers; her siblings-in-law, Kelly and Chris Miller and Kristin Myers; and her nephews and nieces, Robert Maxwell, Meredith Maxwell, Cassie Miller and Chase Miller.
She was a member of Trinity Church and St. Paul’s Chapel in New York City and Chapelwood United Methodist Church in Houston.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 10AM Central Time on August 1, 2020 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home in Houston.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for any donations to go to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) or the American Cancer Society (cancer.org).
