Moses was born to Antonio Fernandez and Juanita Mares Fernandez, on May 30, 1930 in Houston, TX.
He is survived by: Daughters, Rosa L. Pena and Husband Sergio, Patricia Gonzalez, and Son, Moses Fernandez Jr., 7 Grandchildren, Jesus V Santana, Brittney Shults and husband Cody, Sergio Pena Jr, Andrew E. Santana, Isaac Pena, Nicole Martinez and husband Daniel, Moses Gonzalez Jr. and 9 Great Grandchildren, Izaiah, Dakota, Noah, Sergio, Natalie, Alonso, Isaac, Ivrey, and Hazel, Brother, Antonio Fernandez Sr, Sisters, Margaret Escobedo and Connie Molina.
He was preceded in death by wife, Virginia E. Fernandez, Brothers, Raymond Fernandez, Juan Fernandez, Sisters, Lucia Rodriguez, Mary Chavez, and Rosario Lopez.
He was a longshoreman for ILA Local 28 for 38 years.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 5-9 PM with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Grand Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
