Norma was born on March 14th, 1929, in Mansfield, Ohio. In 1946, she entered into matrimony with Robert A. Mercado, and together they established their residence in Houston, TX. They lovingly raised their two children, a daughter and a son.
Norma leaves behind a legacy, survived by her beloved daughter, seven cherished grandchildren, a multitude of great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert E. Mercado, grandson William P. Pittman Jr., her husband, Robert A. Mercado, and her son-in-law, Reyes Gonzalez.
A commemorative service honoring Norma's life has been scheduled for June 20, 2023, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Following the service, a committal ceremony will take place at San Jacinto Memorial Park, at 11:30 AM where she will be laid to rest.
