

Patricia graduated from Channelview High School, San Jacinto College, and the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She worked as a teacher in Pasadena, Texas for 32 years and taught at both Red Bluff and Frazier Elementary Schools.
Patricia was actively involved in sponsoring campus activities including the Chess Club, Robotics, GT services, and science projects. She received many “Teacher of the Year” awards during her years of service.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Singletary, son Jerry Wayne Singletary, and parents Wade Alexander and Telva Marie Kelley.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tammy Matejka and husband Scott; Kelly R. Singletary and wife Colette; and Catherine Holbrook and partner Kim; grandchildren, Megan Girton; Austen Matejka and wife Selena; Justin Holbrook and wife Chelsea; Emily Murphree and husband Shelby; Kelly A. Singletary and wife Cristal; Noah Singletary and wife Kelly; Emily Singletary; and Josie Singletary; as well as her 10 great-grandchildren: Olivia, Owen, Peyton, Addison, Amelia, Eli, Walker, Jameson, Camden, and Birdie. She is also survived by her brother Jimmy Walker, and her beloved cousin Enid McNiece.
The family would like to thank Dr. Victor Simms of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic for the care and compassion he showed as her physician for over 25 years.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 15 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 a.m.
