

Phobe Jo (Jeter) Duckworth was born in Birmingham, Alabama on Friday, November 15, 1929, to parents Paul Leland Jeter and Frances Margaret (Hoops) Jeter. She passed away at her daughter's home in Houston, Texas on Thursday, March 27, 2014, at the age of 84 years, 4 months and 12 days.
Phoebe, along with her husband, Jack Duckworth, owned and operated Chelsey's 2 Ducks Beauty Salon in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, and many other family members who were dear to her heart.
Phoebe is survived by her loving and devoted children, son, Timothy Duckworth of The Villages at Point Venture, Texas and daughter, Tammy Duckworth of Houston. She was known as Bebee to her cherished grandchildren, Chelsey Duckworth of New York, and Connor Duckworth of Llandudno, North Wales, UK. Phoebe is also survived by her sister, Mary Pisklak of Kingwood, Texas and twin sister, Betty Kendrick of Houston.
Family and friends gathered for a celebration of Phoebe's life at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 31st in the chapel of Memorial Oaks Mausoleum, 13001 Katy Freeway in Houston, where Reverend M. Eugene Vickrey and her son, Timothy, offered comforting words and shared beautiful memories. Afterward, Phoebe was laid to rest beside her husband, Jack.
