

Phyllis Wade Guillott, 87, of Spring, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord on August 23, 2025 due to complications arising from lung cancer. She was in hospice care and had her family with her at her passing.
Phyllis was born in Loxley, Alabama in 1937, the seventh of eight children. She moved to Houston in 1948 at the age of 11. She met her husband Jerry on a blind date in 1955, and they were married on October 16, 1955, a marriage which lasted for 65 years. Phyllis was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She worked for the Cerebral Palsy Treatment Center from 1972 to 1974. She then started working in food service for the Spring Branch Independent School District in 1981, retiring as a Cafeteria manager in 2001. After retiring, Phyllis volunteered at Spring Branch Hospital, working in the gift shop.
Phyllis loved spending time with her family and crocheting for her friends and family. She crocheted over 300 afghans. She also loved reading and working on puzzles. She was named a Resident Ambassador at Brookdale Cypress Station for 3 years, where she welcomed new residents and made them feel at home. At the time of her death, Phyllis was living at Spring Creek Village Assisted Living, where she had many friends and enjoyed various activities. Phyllis also loved her Siamese cats. She was friendly and outgoing, making many friends at Spring Creek Village and playing Bingo at every opportunity. Phyllis was honorary Mom or Grandma to many of the wonderful employees at Spring Creek Village.
Preceded in death by her parents Crystal Sees Wade and Walter James Wade, her husband Jerry W. Guillott, her grandson Andrew R. Stiefler, and three brothers and three sisters. Phyllis is survived by son Jerry (Lori) Guillott of Sugar Land, daughter Catherine Cameron of Belleville, Michigan, son Charles (Melanie) Guillott of Magnolia, daughter Nancy (Kurt) Stiefler of Spring, eight grandchildren, three great-granddaughters, and many other relatives.
Visitation will be at 11am, with the service at noon and burial following on September 5, 2025 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas with Rev. Kirk Gentzel officiating. Burial will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
