

On Sunday April 19, 2015, Printis McGee, 57 of Dayton Texas passed away peacefully following a brief illness surrounded by family. Printis, former resident of Houston was a stay at home Dad for his son Gregory. After receiving his degree in accounting from LA Tech, Printis spent his professional career in Houston as an accountant. His hobbies included repairing pinball machines, gardening, gourmet cooking and weather providing the residents of Dayton with minute by minute weather conditions from his weather station. He was also an artist, carpenter, general contractor for home renovation projects, repairman, and had many other talents. Printis was preceded in death by parents Printis Joseph McGee and Estelle Ward McGee and sisters Hazel Ruth Peterson and Pamela Jodell McGee. Printis is survived by his husband and Partner in Life of 32 years Tim, their son Gregory, Sister Lynette Lindsey and husband CW, of Santa Fe, TX, Brothers John Mcgee and wife Brenda and Brother Bruce McGee of Hilly LA. Printis also is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of friends, all of whom shall dearly miss him. Although some may believe Printis’ greatest achievements were the professional accomplishments he had, Printis was quick to say the decision to become a full time stay at home Dad for Gregory was his greatest. A celebration of life for Printis will be held in Houston, TX at Heights Funeral Home, Saturday April 25th 2015 at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Printis McGee’s name to the Histiocytosis Foundation, Arthritis Foundation or Lupus Foundation. Sincere appreciation goes out to the 7th Floor Main team as well as the ICU and entire medical team from Methodist Hospital TMC for the personal and professional care given to Printis.
