Mr. Rodriguez was born on 15th March, 1945 in Texas to Olivia and Clemente Rodriguez. He held a successful career as a mechanic and owned a business in the automotive and heavy equipment as well in past years. He was held very highly for his skill and expertise in transmission repair.
He married Mary Elisa Benson in 1961 and raised five sons and two daughters, Mary Jane, Jesse, Bobby, Lupe, Shirley, Felix Alphonso and Frank. He was a giving person. He always opened up his heart and his home to many people especially children in need. He took care of many people in need throughout his life and would give his last penny before turning anyone away.
One of his passions was music, he played accordion, guitar, harmonica, drums and other instruments. He was mostly self-taught but an excellent musician. Some of his other hobbies was fishing and camping, he also loved the outdoors and spending time with family. He especially adored all the time spent with his many grandchildren; they brought him so much joy.
He is survived by his wife, seven children and many grandchildren, great, grand children and great, great, grand children. He lived a full life with his wife Mary until his untimely passing.
In honor of his passing, his funeral service will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.
Burial of his ashes and a second service will be held on a future date due to current global events for all family and friends to attend. Unfortunately, only ten family members will be allowed to attend the service.
There will be a live stream during his service on Wednesday, 1st of April, 2020 from 10:00am to 11:00am central time on the Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home Facebook page for viewing for those who cannot attend in person.
