Raymond Bailes

Raymond Bailes passed away on February 4th, 2016 in Conroe, Texas. He was born on July 26, 1933 in Houma, Louisiana to Sydney Arthur Bailes and Marguerita Mae(Rita Mae) Bailes. Raymond’s unique knack for building and fixing things led to his career as a Master Machinist. He worked at General Products and Dixel Manufacturing, then was a part of Weatherford International during the 1950's through 1980's. Raymond started his own machine shop, RB Manufacturing in 1987 and spent his last years of employment at H&W Manufacturing, retiring at age 80. He was a charter member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Houston and Living Savior Lutheran Church in Montgomery, Texas. Raymond was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. Raymond is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sylvia, his daughters, Brenda and husband, David, Connie and husband, Bruce, Tammy, his son, David and wife, Cheryl, and adored by his 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter, Debbie, and her husband, Jimmy, and grandson, David Mark. Visitation will be held 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 8, 2016 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 161 West Rd., Houston, Texas 77037.
