Raymond Lloyd Blackstone

Ray, born July 12, 1938, was the son of Lloyd B. Blackstone and Lelia Faye King Blackstone. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his half-sister, Dorothy Young; and his nephew, Robert Young. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Nunez) Blackstone.

Raymond grew up in the Houston Heights. He graduated from Reagan High School (Heights High), and went on to graduate from the University of Houston with a B.S. in Photography. After graduation, Ray worked for U of H and also taught high school photography for H.I.S.D.

On April 21, 1966 Ray and Margaret (Nunez) Blackstone were married at St. Marks United Methodist Church.

Services to celebrate Raymond Lloyd Blackstone’s life will be held at Heights Funeral Home on Monday, March 6th at 12:30 PM followed by internment at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery at 2:00 PM (6900 Lawndale).
