

Rhonda Renae Whitelow Selman was born on July 6, 1957, in Waco, Texas, to the proud parents Gloria and Alonzo Whitelow, Sr. From a young age, Rhonda’s compassion and determination were evident to all who knew her.
She graduated from Jefferson Moore High School and continued to pursue her passion for learning and service. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Texas Woman’s University and later achieved her Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
Rhonda dedicated her life to caring for others, serving in numerous roles across the healthcare field—from staff nurse to Chief Nursing Officer. Her leadership, compassion, and excellence in care left lasting impressions at esteemed institutions such as Houston Methodist, Park Plaza, Altus Baytown, LBJ,Ben Taub, Houston Behavioral Health Care Hospital, and West Oaks Hospital. She was a devoted and faithful member of The Windsor Village Church Family, where she worshipped for many years until her passing. Rhonda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Archie Selman, and her parents, Gloria and Alonzo Whitelow, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving sister, Yolanda (Garry) Smith; her devoted brothers, Alonzo Whitelow Jr, Anthony (Brenda) Whitelow, and Malcolm Whitelow; her treasured daughters, Justina Davis and Brittany Whitelow; her adored grandchildren, Jazz’myni’ Whitelow, Cauaron Davis, and Girard Jackson; and her precious great-grandchildren, Leonardo, Yeshua, Jace, Jada, and Jami; her uncles, Billy Cavitt & George Whitelow; her Aunt Marjorie (Jimmy) Haynes and a host of many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins & friends.
