Robert Leonard Marshall

Robert Leonard Marshall, 80 from Centerville, TX passed away Thursday October 15, 2015 in his home surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Greeneville, TN on December 24, 1934, son of Dewell Paul Marshall and Beulah Clyde Marshall. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara J. Marshall, sons Phillip Allen Marshall, Glenn Paul Marshall, Daughter-In-Law Debra Marshall and three grandchildren, Jennifer Louise, Shannon Nicole and Garrett Paul Marshall. Also survived by three step-daughters Teresa Gonzalez, Sherry Bergeron, Linda Dugal and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Raised at the foot of the Appalachian Mountains where hunting and fishing was a part of life. He eventually made his way to Houston, TX where he married and started a family. He served his country honorably as an Army Veteran. Following his service in the Army he became a skilled craftsman in many trades but most of his working career was in the field of Air conditioning & Refrigeration. He used the philosophy of “If it’s perfect, It’s close enough” with every aspect of his life. He spent the last 20 years enjoying his retirement in the country. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing this great man. Viewing will be held October 22, 2015 @ 11:00 a.m. followed with a Memorial Service @ 12:00 p.m. at the Heights Funeral Home located @ 1317 Heights Blvd., Houston, TX 77008. A Burial Service will be held @ 1:30 p.m. (sharp) at the Houston National Cemetery located @ 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
