R.C. was raised on a farm in Cuddebackville, New York. He served his country in the US Army, entering the service 1953. He married Phyllis Laino, February 1960. R.C. worked as a long distance truck driver and longshore man at the Port of Houston until his retirement in 2003.
Preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Cameron Taylor and Phyllis Colacioppo Taylor. Survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Patricia Diane Taylor; children, Alice Taylor Sanchez and husband, Richard, Joyce Rene’ Taylor, Valerie Lee Taylor and fiancé, Lyn Williams; step-son, Stephen Reynolds Adams; grandchildren, Kelly, Scott and Joseph; step-grandchildren, Joseph, Erin and Megan and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family was held from Noon until 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 28, 2105 at Waltrip Funeral Directors. Services followed at 1:30 p.m. in the Waltrip Chapel. Interment was in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
