Ronnie left us way too soon.  He was a great musician and an even better entertainer. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Saying good-bye to a very
 dear friend of 43 years...so hard to let him go but he's with Jimmy and the rest of his family...are hearts are full of sorrow...we love you Ronnie Hall...

Ronnie was such a special guy..and such a talented musican..and general good person.  He brought joy to so so many and will be missed by so many.  May God comfort his family and friends.

I met Ronnie back in 1995 when he was singing with The Green Onions at Joe’s Crab Shack. Followed him ever since. Ronnie had the best and most soulful voice I ever heard. He was a truly gifted singer. 
 I had a great time singing at the open mic night he hosted at Capp’s Piano bar. It was such a fun time. 
 Ronnie was talented and had a great sense of humor. He is definitely gone too soon and will be greatly missed. He will be singing in heaven now. 
 My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. 

I remember Ronnie as a private soul, but a gentle, kind and caring soul. I will miss the friendship we shared the past 23 yrs. And the "Golden Voice" of his! God had gifted him with his musical talent and the golden voice, so that he could shine forever in our hearts. And we were honored with the grace of his performance and privileged to have heard his "song". The song hasn't ended it's just being sang from Heaven above. So Ronnie keep "smiling and singing to the rhythm of your drums with all the love and joy you carried with you forever and ever in your heart. . . Ronnie will be dearly missed and loved by all while he was upon this earth. May loving words and memories of your beloved Ronnie ease your loss and bring you comfort. With my deepest sympathy to his loving family and to everyone who has ever known Ronnie Hall!

The Grateful Geezers played for The Gathering Place, an Alzheimers group, at FUMC Pearland for several years.  We enjoyed his willingness to share his talent and love of music  with our group.  He will be missed.

Truer words were never spoken.   You will be greatly missed by everyone who had the honor to know you.  Thank you so much for sharing your enormous talent with us all. 

Going to miss Ronnie. He was one of the hardest working musicians I’ve known. Playing with him at Capps is where I met Barbara, my girlfriend. Many great memories with Ronnie. He won’t be forgotten.


Ronnie we miss you so much. You left us so suddenly.  We are heartbroken.  Loved your smile, talent and your sweet soul. Until we meet again.

Ronnie, you were great.  I'll never forget our Super Feast jams and your playing for free at all the local benefits.  Sorry we lost you so soon.  May you rest in peace.  Love, JB 

I was shocked at Ronnie's passing, he visited me on June 5th and we had a good visit.  We talked about music and old cars, he was on his way to a gig from my place and I could see he was looking forward to it just as he did when he was a kid.  He was blessed that way.  A true live entertainer, you have to love it to be as good as Ronnie Hall.  Until that day, rest in His peace Ronnie.

I'll miss Ronnie, his great talent, and his radiant smile. I've known him and made music with him since the 70s. RIP, Ronnie.

Ronnie was a very talented musician and vocalist,  a pillar of the Houston music scene for many years. A true professional, Ronnie lead The Green Onions over 30 years, and we all were privileged to share the stage with him.

We will miss your beautiful smile and great musical performances. Too young to go but RIP. Loved you many years that my husband and I were lucky enough to have known you.

I didn't know Ronnie all that well!  I watched him play the drums many time and sing.  One thing I always noted about him was his smile, whether talking, singing, or keeping the rhythm, he was always smiling.  I pray our Lord of all comforts fills the void in the hearts and lives of his family and friends with peace that passes all understanding!  

I am sorry for the loss such an amazing singer… The song has ended but the melody lingers on… My heart aches to hear this news… I am praying for everyone. My Deepest Condolences to Ann Cunningham and to the Hall families and friends in this time of grief. Rest Peacefully Ronnie… 

I loved your musical talent. It was a blessing to attend your performances.  Thank you for sharing your time on earth with so many .

I first met Ronnie at Michael J’s when he was with The Green Onions. I will always be grateful to him for taking time out of his schedule to sing at my Dads funeral back in 2007. I have a list of deceased friends that I pray for on a daily basis. I will now include Ronnie’s name in my daily rosary.
