Roy W. McDonald

Roy W. McDonald, age 76, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in LaGrange, Texas. He retired as a Crime Scene Investigator from Harris County Sheriff's Office. He was a member of Aldine Masonic Lodge, Woodland Masonic Lodge, both of Houston, and La Fayette Masonic Lodge of LaGrange, Texas. Also a member the Scottish Rite and the Shriners. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marilyn McDonald; daughters: Lynn McClain, Cheryl Ann Meek and husband Jerry W., and Rene' W. Dennis; 6 grandchildren: DJ Turner and wife Jennifer, Kristina Turner, Kelly Ann Laake and husband Michael, James W. Meek, Brandon Joseph Dennis, and Chelsea Rene’ Dennis; 6 great-grandchildren: Bethoni, Lucas, and Cassie Turner, W. Michael Yeakley, Andrew M. Laake, and Kenneth J. Yeakley; 2 sisters: Sue Crouch and husband Bob, and Terry Gonzalez and husband Jesse; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 21, 2014 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 22, 2014 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. A Masonic Graveside Service with Harris County Honor Guard will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
