

Nacida el 19 de Agosto de 1962 en Nueva Rosita Coahuila, hija de Dorafelia Martinez y Enrique Escobar. Sandra creció en un rancho y desde muy pequeña asumió muchas responsabilidades. Eventualmente se mudó a Houston y se casó con su esposo, George. Juntos criaron a sus cuatro hijos hasta la edad adulta antes de que ella se convirtiera en licenciada en cosmetología. A Sandra le encantaba su carrera de estilista y sus fieles clientes, que muchos llegaron a verla como familia. Se esforzaba por alcanzar la perfección en todo lo que hacía. Le apasionaba viajar y disfrutaba pasar tiempo con su familia. Participando activamente en La Primera Iglesia Cristiana Fulton, a la que asistía fielmente cada Domingo. Sandra conocida por su generosidad, siempre oportuna con un abrazo, un consejo o abrigarte un día de frío. Lo más importante es que fue una madre y esposa devota. Sus hijos la recuerdan con cariño como una madre amable y gentil, que los amaba más que a su propia vida.
A Sandra la sobreviven- el amor de su vida, esposo durante 40 años, George Fernández; su hijo, Edgar Fernández y su esposa, Leticia y sus dos hijas, Isabella y Chevelle; su hijo, Jorge Fernández y su esposa, Mercedes; su hijo, Roberto Alan Fernández, su novia, Adarlis; su hijo menor Alex Fernández, su novia Jessica; junto con los miembros de sus familias unidas, Escobar y Fernández.
El velorio se realizará de 5:00 p.m. hasta las 8:00 p.m. el Lunes, 8 de Enero de 2024 en Waltrip Funeral Directors. Los servicios funerarios comenzarán a las 12:00 p.m. el Martes 9 de Enero de 2024 en Waltrip Funeral Directors. Seguirá el entierro en el cementerio Woodlawn Garden of Memories.

Sandra Leticia Fernandez, 61, beloved mother, wife and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on December 29th, 2023 in Houston, Texas.
Born on August 19th, 1962 in Nueva Rosita Coahuila, to Dorafelia Martinez and Enrique Escobar. Sandra grew up on a ranch and from a very young age took on many responsibilities. Eventually moving to Houston and marrying her husband, George. Together they raised their four boys into adulthood before she became a licensed cosmetologist. Sandra loved her hairstylist career and her clients, many of which considered her family. She strived for perfection in everything she did. She had a passion for travel and enjoyed spending time with her family. Actively engaged at La Primera Iglesia Cristiana on Fulton, Sandra faithfully attended every Sunday. Known for her generosity, Sandra seized every opportunity to give. Most importantly, she was a devoted mother and wife. Her children fondly remember her as a kind, gentle mother, who loved them more than life itself.
Sandra is survived by the love of her life, husband of 40 years, George Fernandez; her son, Edgar Fernandez and his wife, Leticia and their two daughters, Isabella and Chevelle; her son, Jorge Fernandez and his wife, Mercedes; her son, Roberto Alan Fernandez, his girlfriend, Adarlis; her youngest son Alex Fernandez, his girlfriend Jessica; along with the members of her tight-knit families, Escobar and Fernandez.
Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2024 at Waltrip Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be begin at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Waltrip Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
