

Shirley G. Savell, age 88, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025. She was born on January 21, 1937, and lived a life of kindness, compasion, and generosity. Always ready to help those in need, she will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering love, and her determination as her loved ones, friends, and all the various charities and fundraisers she supported will say, the word "no" simply did not exist in her vocabulary.
For the last two years, she especially cherished her life in the community she called home. She loved and appreciated her friends there deeply, finding joy, comfort, and companionship among them each day.
Shirley was the beloved matriarch of her family. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Sissy) Bigham-Johnson and spouse J.R. Johnson; son Johnny Savell and life partner Maria; grandchildren Harry Bigham and wife Kelly, Kenneth Savell, Keegan Savell and wife Brittany, Kristopher Savell and wife Jeanna, Brandon Savell, Alex Savell, April Savell, and Adam Savell; and great-grandchildren Parker Bigham, Riley, Kennedy, Taylor, Ford, Hayes, Daylin, Syler, Kinsley, and Matthew Savell.
She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene C. Savell and sons Tommy, Rodney, and David Savell.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
