Steve Radabaugh of Tomball, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 17th, 2024 at the age of 65 after a 10 year, hard fought battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born on July 8th, 1958 in Houston, Texas where he grew up in the downtown Houston area on Pitzlin Street as well as “Wolf Corners” in the FM 529 area.
He attended the University of Texas, a college that he had a lifelong love for. He worked in the Chem Lab and R&D Lab at Cameron/Cooper for 10+ years. He then worked as a Reliability Engineer at Compaq Computers/Hewlett Packard for nearly 30 years. While at Compaq/HP, he received several service awards, a patent for a process he invented, and published multiple papers. He was respected by his peers world-wide for his expertise and intellect in his field.
Steve was accomplished in both his work and personal life. He was an avid hunter and sports fan. He helped build a cabin with his family at the age of 12 in the Hill Country where he successfully hunted a buck nearly every year for decades. He loved to take his children with him on hunts, and teach them how to fish. He was a competitive foosball player and was ranked 10th in the world at one time. He loved cheering for his favorite sports teams - the Texas Longhorns and the Houston Astros. He was a connoisseur of “Dad” jokes and loved entertaining friends and family alike.
Steve’s children, Max and Jack Radabaugh, would like to thank the staff at Silverado Memory care, and their mother Joy Radabaugh for the care and compassion they showed Steve in his final days. They are also thankful for Steve’s brothers, Keith, Dean and Wayne who faithfully handled Steve’s financial and legal affairs as well as living arrangements.
We take comfort in that as a born-again Christian, Steve is at peace now in heaven with his mother, Pearl L Radabaugh, and father, David C Radabaugh. He is loved and dearly missed by many including his ex-wife Joy Radabaugh, their two children Max and Jack Radabaugh, his elder brothers Keith, Dean and Wayne Radabaugh, his nephews Travis, Clay, David, Daniel, and Douglas Radabaugh, and his nieces Shannon Radabaugh and Diane Mallard.
