Steven Anthony Ramirez

Steven is survived by his beloved children, Julian and Layla Ramirez; his loving mother, Alma Ramirez; his sisters, Cynthia Ramirez-Fabela, Andrea Pesina, Laura Montes, and Jessica Westbrook; his brother, Adolf Ramirez; and his cherished nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Adolf G. Ramirez, who passed away on August 19, 2024.

Steven dedicated 14 years of his career as a machinist at Exxon Refinery, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. His greatest pride and joy in life was being a father. He treasured every moment spent with his children — attending baseball games to cheer on his son Julian, whom he also coached during his younger years, and proudly cheering on his daughter Layla at her swim meets, volleyball games, and basketball games. He loved taking her to the places she enjoyed, from indoor skydiving and go-kart racing to shopping at her favorite stores, always making sure they created special memories together.

Steven had a true passion for motors and the outdoors. He enjoyed working on cars, motorcycles, and four-wheelers, spending time fishing, and going to Xtreme Mud Park. Friday nights often found him at the ¼-mile track racing his Camaro and motorcycle — something he genuinely loved, the love for speed.

Steven was known for having a big heart and a generous spirit. He was the kind of person who would help anyone at any time, day or night, without hesitation. His kindness, strength, and love for his family and friends will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation will be held on February 17, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, located at 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.

A prayer service will take place on the same day from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the same venue.

The funeral service is scheduled for February 18, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.

A committal service will follow from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the same location.

A reception will be held on February 18, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.
