Susan Jeanne Crane

Susan Jeanne Crane was born in Omaha, Nebraska on Wednesday, March 21, 1945 to parents Vernon Crane and Ruth (Johnson) Crane. She passed away early Wednesday morning June 22, 2016 in Spring, Texas at the age of 71.

Susan was a very special mentally challenged angel that God placed with our family. She never met a stranger and loved everyone. Susan lived at home until the age of 25 then was placed at Austin State School for a few years and then moved to a group home within Reach Unlimited where she resided for many years. This past year, she was under the care of Gwen Robinson, another angel until her passing. There were many special people who had a part in caring for Susan through the years. She embraced all with so much love and we were all enriched by having her in our lives.

Susan is survived by her sister, Sally Hiller; brother in law, David Hiller; nieces, Brandi McRay and husband Travis, Christie Hiller Rodriguez and husband Juan, Brett Eisenhauer, Kyle Hiller and wife Jennifer; many other relatives and several dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Ruth Crane; grandparents, Amanda and Otis Crane, Etta and Harry Johnson.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate our wonderful angel’s life during a visitation at the graveside from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 30 at Woodlawn Garden of Memories, 1101 Antoine in Houston, Texas, 77055. Reverend Carlton Stewart officiated.
