

Around the age of 12 her family moved to Hong Kong and then at 21 moved to Greenville, Mississippi. On November 9, 1963 Suzanne married William McKinley Woo from Macon, GA. In Macon, Suzanne ran Woo’s Pharmacy with William. They had 2 daughters, May Jean Woo (1965) and Leigh Ying Woo (1969). They were married for 11.5 years before his passing in July, 1975.
In July 1976 Suzane moved from Macon to Houston, Texas with her two young daughters to be near her siblings.
In Houston, Suzanne worked for Joe K’s Lucky 7 Food Store, Rotan Mosley, and Kroger. She retired from Kroger in 2006. Suzanne was active at Chinese Baptist Church over the years. She was a member of the Bereans Sunday School Class and Rainbow Fellowship. For years Suzanne was also one of the "Bulletin Folder” volunteers in the church office that met every Friday to fold the weekly bulletins. That was a wonderful time for her to talk to all of her friends and help meet a need.
Suzanne enjoyed crocheting, word search puzzles and “Word Scapes” on her tablets. She also enjoyed watching Cantonese movies and shows on what we called her “Chinese cable”.
Suzanne is preceded in death by her husband William McKinley Woo, parents Sheow Kwong Wong and Boo Gen Wong, her younger brothers Jim Wong and Gordon Wong.
She is survived by her daughters: May Jean and Leigh Ying Woo; Siblings: Juanita Mei (William), and Leonard Wong (Jeanette).Sister-in-law: May K. Wong, and by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, many cousins and their families.
A visitation will be held at Earthman Resthaven, located at 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, on September 12, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue on September 13, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a committal service from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery.
