Thomas Wayne Roberts

Tuggie was born in Houston, TX on October 5th, 1940, the son of Thomas Jefferson Roberts and Nora Mae Graham. He was proceeded in death by his 2 sisters Jo Lynn Mathews and LaVerne Randolph.

Tuggie was married to Dana Evalene Richnow on October 28, 1961.

Tuggie worked most of his work life as an accountant at Fitts Roberts & Company and was employed there for over 39 years.

Tuggie loved his family more than anything especially his wife. He was never apart from her and always wanted to be with her. Tuggie met his wife while attending school at Texas A&M. He fell deeply in love with her, which lead him to leave school and start a family with Evalene.

Even though Tuggie didn’t graduate, he was an Aggie fan through and through. He always rooted for them, never a 10 percenter. It didn’t matter if it was football, basketball, baseball, etc. He always had his Aggie hat on and cheered for them. And if you had an Aggie hat on, you better believe he was going to come up to you and talk about the Aggies. It never mattered if we weren’t in Texas, he always would talk to all Aggies he saw.

Tuggie strongly believed in having a close-knit family that showed love to everyone. He always made sure to schedule time with his family. This would include calling them and eating at his favorite Mexican restaurants with a frozen margarita.

Tuggie is survived by his wife Evalene Roberts, 2 daughters, Donna Leigh Hill her husband Brian Andersen Hill, Cara Lorraine Rentschler and her husband Daniel Thomas Rentschler. He had 3 Grandchildren, Anthony Wayne Roberts his wife Sarai Rangel, Candice Leigh Rentschler, Samantha Renee Ramos and her husband Pedro Ramos. He also had many other family members.

Tuggie was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, he loved to talk to people about the Bible and Jehovah. He firmly believed in the resurrection promise that is found in Acts 24:15. He knew that even though he would no longer be living, he would be in Jehovah’s memory, and will wake up again on a paradise earth.
