Thomas W. Stricklin

Thomas W. Stricklin, age 64, passed away February 2, 2018. Born August 31, 1953 in Houston, Texas, he graduated from Galena Park High School and he was employed at O'Rourke Petroleum as a Tankerman. He was an avid runner and Astros fan who loved his family and friends, and he never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Stricklin; grandparents, Walter and Elsie Warnasch and Ross and Nettie Stricklin. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cynthia Stricklin; son, Eric Stricklin and wife Jannette; daughters, Tammie Gordon and husband Rodger and Jennifer Stricklin; grandchildren, Sarah Lynnann Carnley and husband Robert, Seth Lane Gordon, Anna Marie Mendoza, and Arianna Stricklin; great granddaughter, Allie Grace Carnley; mother, Valorie Stricklin; brother, Tim Stricklin and wife Rebecca; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and a host of friends. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2017 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Believers Fellowship, 21603 Rhodes Rd., Spring, Texas 77388, with a gathering to be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the church. The Graveside Service will be 3:30 p.m., the same day, at Mayer Cemetery, 10100 Mayer Cemetery Rd., Burton, Texas 77859.
