

She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Faltine Baptist Church in Gloster, Louisiana.
Tommie moved to Houston with her oldest sister, Fannie Jackson, in the mid 1940’s, and that is where she met Jacob Carl Green Sr. She was united in marriage on April 30, 1946 to J.C. Green Sr.
J.C and Tommie Mae became members of New Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev E.W. Whitfield until joining New Loyalty Missionary Baptist Church under the leaderships of the late Rev. E.W Whitfield and Rev. B.M Reynolds Sr. Tommie remained a faithful member of New Loyalty Baptist Church, under the current leadership of Rev. Charles Butler III, where she served on the Nurse and Usher Board Ministry and also a Deaconette.
Tommie was a faithful servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ until she departed her earthly life
Tommie and J.C Green became self-employed and were the proud owners Green Brothers Dirt yard for years and became well acquainted with similar businesses in the Houston area.
Tommie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grand-mother. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Green, daughters, Euradell Perkins Mulckeroy and Jeanette Green, parents; Herbert and Lydia Clay and step mother Ella Jane Simon and six sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memories: son, Jacob Carl Green, Jr(Janet), seven grandchildren, Alicia Renee, Kenneth, Antonio(Drea), Janelle(Red), Jessica, Jillian and Rinesha. Nine Great grand- children, one sister, Marie Matthew and a host of special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
