Trudy Vallecillo Lachica

Trudy Vallecillo Lachica, age 84, was called home to be with Jesus on February 25, 2024, with her daughter and nephew by her side. She was a Spring, Texas resident, but was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Born in November of 1939 to Raul Edward Vallecillo and Alethia V. Kobolt, she was a caring and charismatic lady with an infectious smile. She was known to greet many with a “Hey Dawlin’).

She was a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls High School and loved organizing class reunions for her fellow classmates, maintaining those friendships till her passing.

She had a long career as a beautician, owning her own beauty shop, and later transitioned to clerical work for several companies.

She was a lifelong fan of the New Orleans Saints and held season tickets for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raul E. Vallecillo and Alethia V. Kobolt, brother, Raul D. Vallecillo, and Val, her husband.

She was a devoted mother and is survived by her daughter, Connie L. Reeder, her brother Dean Vallecillo (Karen), and nephews Raul D. Vallecillo, Colin Vallecillo (Jesse), and Connor Vallecillo.

Services will be held on March 4, at the Earthman Resthaven chapel at 11 a.m., with viewing from 9 to 11 a.m.

A visitation for Trudy will be held Monday, March 4, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 4, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A graveside service will occur Monday, March 4, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
