Valerie Kick

Valerie Anne "Val" Kick was born in Norfolk, Virginia on September 16, 1972 to parents, the late Bruce and Patricia (Sams) Kick. She passed away in Houston, Texas on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the age of 46.

Valerie was an Accounts Payable Manager for Eureka Services, prior to that at Equitrans Midstream and Spark Energy. She was a fun-loving mother who had a passion for all animals, she especially loved her animals. She loved traveling and trying new foods. Valerie had a creative and very giving spirit; she loved making Diaper Cakes for others, and one of her greatest joys was putting together care packages and sending them to our soldiers overseas. Valerie was very close with her kids and loved spending time with them no matter what they were doing. She loved movies and spending quality time with her friends as well.

A devoted mother, Valarie is survived by her loving sons, Michael and Chris Perret; brother, Sean Kick; aunt, Kathy Rowan; cousins, Rhonda, Joe, Jill, Jeff and Robert, as well as many dear friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for their loving care of our mother. To her employers, past and present, and the many friends she made along the way, we will cherish the memories each of you created with our mom.

Family and friends gathered and shared memories during a visitation at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, in the chapel of Waltrip Funeral Directors in Houston, Texas, where a memorial service celebrating Valerie's life began at 2:00 p.m.
