He is survived by his wife Christine Cañas, his two children Aubrey Cañas, and William Cañas, his mother Maria Calixta Cañas, his father Carlos Alberto Cañas, and his brother Carlos Alberto Cañas Jr.
He was a sports fanatic, he loved all the Houston Sports team specially the Houston Texans as well as la Selección de fútbol de México.
A visitation for William will be held Monday, October 12, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
