

William Hardy Osborne was born May 5, 1918, in Waxahachie, Texas, to Essie Osborne and Fannie Hines Osborne of which he was the eldest of 13 children. He attended school in Bryan, Texas and trade school in Lufkin, Texas. Later he moved to Houston, where he was employed by Sinclair Oil Company for 34 years. He married Ceola Justine O'Neal, who preceded him in death. They were the proud parents of five children. He and his wife together joined New Light Christian Center Church in which both remained members til their deaths. His time on Earth was 95 years departing on October 9, 2013. He was an excellent wood carving craftsman. He made many beautiful items from picture frames to intricately detailed furniture. There are many homes in Texas that cherishes his woodworks. He also loved flowers of all kinds and for many years his passion could be seen in his stunning gardens and blooming trees at his home. He leaves to cherish his memory five children: Debra Allen, Darrell, Dwight (Ida), Delores Robinson (Reginald), and Donnie (Toni), two brothers, Emmitt and Curtis (Janet), two sisters: Gladys and Helen, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
