Winnie Harden

Winnie L Harden passed away on 10/13/12. She was born in Mt. Pleasant, TX, on August 17, 1927. We went by the name of Louise, but her granddaughters & great-grandchildren called her Mimi. She survived her husband Olan by 36 days. She will be interred beside him on Saturday November 10th at 10:00 AM. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia L Harden & son, LeadDog, both of Pasadena, Texas. Her surviving sisters are: Marie Gay (husband, JL Gay) of Linden, TX; Ruby Carpenter (widow) of Euless, TX; Fern Mitchell (husband, DC Mitchell) of Ft.Worth, TX; and Shirley Davis (widow) of Tool, TX. She has one surviving brother, Ronald Cogswell (wife, Pattie Cogswell) of Bonsall, CA. Her granddaughter, Stephanie Winkle, (husband, John Winkle; daughter, Samantha, & son, Joshua) lives in Deer Park, TX. Her granddaughter, Laura Winkle, also lives in Deer Park, TX.

In life she retired from Eckerd Drugs after almost 30 years. She & Olan retired & moved to Linden, TX ; but came back to live in Pasadena, TX the last 10 years of their lives. She loved gardening, reading, baseball, & football. She was a big fan of every Houston baseball & football team since the early 1950’s. Even when they lived in the country, she would stay up at night to listen to their ball games on the radio.

She was a very compassionate & loving person. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She was loved by all who knew her, & we miss her very much.
