Anthony Passero

Mr. Anthony Passero, 98, of Huntsville, AL passed away April 8, 2016. Born March 28, 1918 to Rose and Sebastion Passero in Newark, NJ. Mr. Passero retired from the US Army in 1971 after 31 years of service. He served in World War II and the Korean conflict retiring during the Vietnam Era. During his service he received 2 Purple Hearts, the Bronze Star, and 6 good conduct medals. Mr. Passero is survived by his wife of 68 years, Flora; 5 children Helen Hill (Randy), Frances Barnes (Van), Ron Passero (Pam), Anthony Passero (Claudia), and Robert Passero (Melanie); 9 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 13, from 5:00 to 8:00 at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 14, 11:00am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Hughes Road in Madison. Graveside service with full military honors to follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Following Graveside service, the family invites family and friends to join them for a life celebration at Valhalla Funeral Home reception hall. In lieu of flowers donations be made to Tutt Fann Veterans Home. The family thanks the staff at Tutt Fann Veterans Home for their care of Mr. Anthony Passero.
