Darlene Archer Riley

Darlene Archer Riley, 72 of Huntsville, Alabama passed away Wednesday, August 28th surrounded by family at home. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be remembered for her huge smile and squinting eyes when she laughed. Darlene was born in Huntsville, Alabama. She spent the majority of her adult life living and working in the Huntsville community. Darlene loved to travel and spend time with her children, grandchildren, and all of her family as they always brought a smile to her face when someone visited. She loved to visit Disney World, spending time on any Florida beach, going out to dinner with family, and occasionally going to the movie theater.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents Calvin and Aline Archer; and her grandson Ryan Riley. Survivors include her husband, Arthur Eugene Riley III; her son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Letitia Riley, her daughter, and son-in-law Jennifer and Allan Pruett; her grandchildren, Kyle Riley, Macy Riley, Emma Pruett, Austin Pruett; her extended daughters, Angie DeNoon, Kelly White, Jaime Maassen; extended grandchildren, Elizabeth, Raina, Dylan, Jack, Tyler, Zoe; and extended great grandchildren Roana, Deacon, and Iris.

Visitation for Darlene will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home & Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811. Following the visitation will be a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home Celebration Chapel, 698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, Alabama 35811. Darlene will be laid to rest in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
