Jeannette (Jan) Brinson, of Clermont, Florida, formerly of Huntsville, Al, surrounded by her family, went home to be with her Savior on 26 February, 2018. Born in Tullahoma, TN, she was preceded in death by her parents Odie and Lela Adams and brothers: Milan, Harlon, and Charles. She is survived by two sisters (her twin sister, Annette, and Thelma) and two brothers (Ray and Weldon), her husband of 63 years: William Louis (Bill) Brinson, and her five children: Richard Thomas (Rick), William Randall (Randy) (Eve), Karen Elizabeth Artis (Mike), Robert Eugene (Rob) (Tamara), and Sharon Kaye Inman (Rich Gladwin); twelve grandchildren: Shelley (Jorge), Shannon (Brian), Scott, Leah, Jamie, Kristen, Steven, Brandon, Ashley, Zachary, Megan, and Rhett; three great-grandchildren.
Early in their marriage Jan provided for the family so her husband could go to college. Upon his graduation she embarked on her life long career, one that is vanishing from our landscape, she became a housewife dedicated to providing a home for her husband and children. Her family is a confirmation of her success.
In her later years she and her husband retired to Florida where she enjoyed an active lifestyle. She stayed busy in the community, visiting her children, traveling, and most all, enjoying the fruits of her labor. She loved her children, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren provided her great delight. One of Jan’s great joys was travelling with Bill throughout the United States and abroad – she was always ready for a trip. The family is grateful for the compassion so generously offered by her caregivers over the past several weeks. You may visit with the family at 11:00 am at Valhalla Funeral Home in Huntsville, AL on Saturday, March 03, 2018, with a memorial service following at 12:00 pm.
