

She spent several of her adult years living with her sister and brother-in-law while helping to raise their two children, Sheryl and Debra, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives. Her nieces fondly recall many happy memories of day-long bicycle journeys across the Kansas sunflower fields.
Purple was her favorite color. She wore it frequently and requested her hairdresser, Audrey, to add a purple streak to her hair on special occasions.
Elizabeth had a career as a sales associate supervisor at JCPenney. In retirement, she liked to stay busy and worked as a product demonstrator at several different retail establishments.
Affectionately known as Liz by her friends and Aunt B by her family, she was always the first person to start a conversation. She was an avid card game player and was active in community senior citizen activities for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, SSG Ralph Bishop, Jr., her parents Alfred and Edna Loumer, and her sister Helen Loumer Gandy and brother-in-law Dub Gandy.
She is survived by her nieces Sheryl Owen (sons Justin Owen and Brad Owen, daughter-in-law Nina Owen, and granddaughter Penelope) and Debra Alder (daughter Megan White, son-in-law Tyson White, and grandsons Cullen and Carter).
A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, January 8, at Valhalla Memory gardens located at 698 Winchester Road NE in Huntsville, AL.
