Jacqueline Elaine Carter

Jackie Carter of Huntsville, AL was born on March 31, 1959. She is a native of Huntsville and passed away on November 2, 2022, after a prolonged battle with cancer. She was a graduate of S.R. Butler High School and Athens State University. She worked in the school systems in Morgan County and Madison County in Alabama as a special needs teacher.

Preceded in death was her son Charlie Carter, her parents Felix T. West and Eva L. West. She is survived by her sister, Tommie Sharples of Duluth, GA, and several of her extended family members in Tennessee, Minnesota, Florida, California, and Kentucky.

She will be cremated on November 5, 2022, and her ashes will be interred at Valhalla Memorial Gardens in Huntsville, AL on Tuesday November 8, 2022. She will be laid to rest next to her son. The interment of her ashes will be done privately, and any other memorials will be done privately with her extended family.

Her expressed wishes are not to have a funeral ceremony or remembrance. However, she also stated any memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN.
