James E. "Red" Patterson Jr.

James E. “Red” Patterson, Jr., 92 of Meridianville, AL passed away at his home on Thursday, January 3, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Red was preceded in death by his parents, James E. “Jim” Patterson, Sr. and Margie Jacks Patterson.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Ruth Patterson; son, Don Patterson (Teresa); daughter, Carol East (Jack); grandchildren, Tyler Patterson, Paige Patterson, Jessica Gillon (Dustin), Blake East (Lindsay); great grandchildren, Dalton Gillon, Tanner Gillon, Mason Gillon and Eiley East; sister, Vera Tipton; sister-in-law, Lovell Wells; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at First Baptist Church Meridianville. Funeral Services will begin at 3:00pm. Interment to follow at Flint River Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Hospice Family Care Fund at Huntsville Hospital Foundation, 801 Clinton Ave. E, Huntsville, AL 35801.
