Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Susan; sons, Evan and Alex; parents, Sam and Sue Bailey; sister, Melissa Swinea; brother-in-law, Matt Swinea; niece, Ashlyn Swinea.
Jerry graduated from David Lipscomb University with a BA Degree in Math and Physics, then went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Math from UAH. He was a college professor in math/physics. He enjoyed letterboxing, was a roller coaster enthusiast, a game and puzzle fanatic, a prolific reader. He loved trivia games, actually auditioning for Jeopardy several times. Jerry was a lover of music, and a Tennessee VOLS fan for life!
You may visit with the family on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Madison Church of Christ. Funeral Services, officiated by Minister Mike Winkler will begin at 6:00pm. Interment will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 1:00pm in McKenzie, TN at Carroll Memorial Park, under the direction of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Madison Academy Elementary School in Jerry’s memory.
