Vernon is survived by his son, Hugh S. Green (Debbie); 2 daughters, Jeannie M. Green and Connie J. Brand (Gary); 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Mr. Green was a lifelong resident of Huntsville. He was a 1947 graduate of Riverton High School. He was a member of the Army Corp of Engineers in the early 1950s. He was a machinist at Thiokol Corp and retired there after 37 years.
