Linda Ruth McDonald Davis was born in Talladega, Alabama on September 19, 1950. She finished her journey in Huntsville, Alabama on December 19, 2025. She was the daughter of Albert and Foy McDonald. Linda is now at peace with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her husband of more than 51 years, Donald Davis; two sons, Joseph Davis and Jason (Jennifer) Davis; four grandchildren; a sister, Marie Haynie and two nephews.
She graduated from Hobe Sound Bible College, in Florida, in 1971 with a degree in Christian elementary education. She taught at the Bible Methodist Christian Day School in Pell City, Alabama, Triana Village Christian School, in Huntsville, Alabama, and Care To Learn School, also in Huntsville, Alabama. When the need arose, she home schooled her two sons. Despite suffering with Multiple Sclerosis for many years, she was always a teacher at heart and a dedicated Christian Children’s Worker. As such, she taught children’s church for many years. A number of churches called her to lead their Vacation Bible Schools.
In the early years of her marriage, she held a JOY Club in her home for neighborhood children. Linda had a loving passion for presenting the Gospel to children. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, some of whom have now picked up her mantel. And now farewell sweet princess as flights of angels have carried you to your rest.
